GET YOUR FLIPPERS ON!...THE THAI ISLANDS

Island number one - Koh Lanta:
A collective sigh of relief could be heard as we set foot on Khlong Nin beach having spent the three previous days on boats and buses. Our dreams of laying about for a few days, having a few beers and soaking up some sun were fulfilled in their entirity. Koh Lanta has a really lazy and loungey atmosphere enhanced by lots of pretty beach shacks complete with floor cushions. Days on end can be approached horizontally while gnoshing away on some tasty pad thai and waiting for sunset. Has it really been five days already?...Lovely to meet you Justin and Kate, I hope you enjoyed the rest of your trip.

Island number two - Koh Phi Phi:
Hmmm, what can I say about Phi Phi? Well its a very beautiful tiny island surrounded by the most turqoise waters you are ever likely to see and is famed for it's diving and snorkeling. The town of Phi Phi, however, is brim packed with superpubs of the two-for-one-bucket variety and a clientele that wouldn't look out of place on an american spring break movie. For those of you who aren't familiar with the bucket, it literally is a bucket full of thai rum, redbull and coke. I'd be lying if I said we didn't partake in the activities but it was only to numb the pain til we got off the island again. Next...

Island number three - Koh Pha Ngan:
The full moon parties of Koh Pha Ngan are infamous in these here parts. We opted to head north of the party fever though and boated around to the isolated Bottle Beach where we were reunited with Maciek and Warren, having separated in India. Bottle Beach is a tiny beach and is very hard to leave. Hut to restaurant to beach to sea to hut to restaurant...and five more days pass leisurely by...

Island number four - Koh Tao
Also famed for it's diving and snorkeling Koh Tao is another tiny paradise. Who us? Oh we didn't even make it to the sea, we were too busy taking in some fabulous cabaret and partying like young uns for any of that snorkeling business. Took in some majestic sunsets though...Big hi to all the showgirls...

It was great while it lasted but enough of beaches...Bangkok here we come...

Phi Phi looks like paradise but bit too ... hmm... how say it postcardy (???). and like you said fool of plastic people. A Ken&Barbie Land. Even in polish language we use a word "phi" (pronounced with "h") to scorn, disregard something. Sounds about right.
